Q&A with Brittny

1) Take us back to your wedding day—what was going through your mind when the skies opened up and the rain started pouring?

When the rain first began, all I could think about was how this was the moment I have been waiting for all of my life. Over the past two years of planning had come down to this moment, in the torrential downpour. It was not my ideal ceremony in the beginning just because we saw all of our guests huddle together to stay warm but then I looked at Dom and remembered that this is the reasoning we are here. That I would marry him in torrential downpour, the beating hot sun, or in a snow storm. The weather was just white noise in it all. We planned for this day, rain or shine, since the radar was out of our control so we just wanted to be present in the moment and not think about things we can’t change.

2) Despite the downpour, your glow looked flawless in every photo. How did having your Aglow tan impact your confidence that day?

I have always been scared to get a spray tan since I have heard so many horror stories. But when my sister introduced me to Aglow I truly have never turned back. I always feel my most confident self walking out of there and there was no question in my mind if I was getting one for my wedding. Maru made sure I was feeling my best self and confident every time. She took the time to care during the appointment. She did not rush, asked how I felt in it and simply just took the time to make sure I felt my most confident. I am so glad I went to Aglow for my big day since it truthfully helped my confidence walking down the aisle.

3) So many brides worry about sweating, tears, or weather ruining their tan—how did your Aglow tan actually hold up through the rainstorm and the celebrations after?

Oh my, the spray tan truly never moved! It lasted so long and so perfectly I forgot at times it was a spray tan and not a real tan. I was worried during the ceremony about the spray tan transferring onto my white dress with the heavy rain but when I got back into the bridal suite and looked in the mirror, I noticed it looked just as good as when I first washed it off. No transfer, no streaky lines, and it truly never came off from the rain. I was truthfully speechless. The solution at Aglow is truly magic and the fact it lasted through the rainstorm with no issues, goes to show just how amazing it is!

4) What kind of feedback did you get from guests or photographers about your look and glow, even after the storm?

All my guests were shocked how nothing moved after the storm. My tan, makeup, & hair all stayed the same. The tan was so natural a lot of the guests didn’t even know I had a spray tan especially since there was no transfer. A lot of them were just as shocked as I was!! It was one less thing I had to worry about after the storm passed. It allowed me to be able to just enjoy my day instead of worrying about my spray tan being all over my dress!

5) What advice would you give other brides considering an Aglow tan for their big day, especially now that yours has been tested by Mother Nature herself?

DO IT!!!! Absolutely do it. I understand being nervous about it transferring onto the white dress since that was one of my questions during my spray tan before the wedding. But I am so glad that never deterred me from getting a spray for my wedding since it truly stood the test of time. Not only that, but it truly made me feel like my most confident self walking down the aisle. I love being tan but working full time makes it hard to find time to lay in the sun so this has been my perfect solution for all my bridal events all summer long. Now that I have learned about Aglow, and it truthfully passing the biggest test, I will never go anywhere else!!!
